Special Offer — An MLS Signature Trip™

Treasures of the Nile

Dear Members,

The famous tombs and temples of Egypt are on nearly everyone’s must-see list, and the best way to see them is on a Nile cruise. I’ve taken this journey twice, once with my husband and once as a family, and both times were utterly magical—each day is filled with ancient splendors and gorgeous scenery, each evening with memorable meals and entertainment, and each night with smooth passage from one remarkable destination to the next.

We’ve designed two exclusive MLS Signature Trips that include several days aboard a deluxe, five-star Sanctuary Nile Cruise boat, so you can explore all the major sights at a relaxing pace. Along the way, you’ll be accompanied by an Egyptologist guide who will make Egypt’s fascinating history come to life.

Tailor-Made Egypt—12 Days 7-night cruise, Luxor to Aswan

Price:

Starting at $2,850pp (varies with season and number of passengers)

Domestic flight:

From Cairo to Luxor and Aswan to Cairo—USD $340pp

This custom journey begins with three nights at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Cairo. You’ll enjoy a full-day tour of Cairo, including the Egyptian museum, the Citadel, and two of Cairo’s most impressive mosques. The next day you’ll travel to Memphis and Giza, where you’ll see the celebrated Great Pyramids and gain special entry into the stone foot of the Sphinx. Then it’s off to Luxor, where you’ll visit the Valley of the Kings & Queens and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Ancient Egypt’s only female Pharaoh).

Embarking on your Nile cruise, you’ll stop to tour a number of extraordinary sites, such as the Ptolemaic Temple of Hathor in Denderah, the graceful Temple of Luxor, massive Karnak Temple, the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus on Edfu, and elegant Philae temple. Weather permitting, you’ll also enjoy an afternoon of sailing around Elephantine Island on a traditional felucca. To make your Egyptian experience complete, your entertainment aboard the boat includes an “Egyptian Night” costume party, Egyptian cooking lessons, traditional music, and performances by belly dancers and whirling dervishes.

Tailor-Made Egypt—15 Days 10-night cruise, Cairo to Aswan

Cruise Departures:

Apr 20, July 2, Sep 10, 2013 (departures are also available for the Aswan/Cairo direction—please inquire)

Domestic flight:

From Aswan to Cairo—USD $205pp

Abu Simbel extension:

An optional extension to Abu Simbel Temple is available on the last day of your journey.
