Special Offer — An MLS Signature Trip™

Discovering Jordan

Dear Members,

I’m very enamored of deserts—their perfect stillness and otherworldly landscapes never fail to strike a chord with me. One of my favorite desert experiences was my family’s trip to Jordan a few winters ago. A visit here is a journey through the ages, with remnants of ancient civilizations to explore at every turn, from the well-preserved Roman city of Jerash to the famous lost city of Petra.

We were fascinated by Petra; known the “rose-red city half as old as time,” this series of ornate, rock-carved temples and tombs was built by the Nabateans around the 2nd century BC, and is Jordan’s main attraction. But we found Wadi Rum just as enchanting. Made famous in the film Lawrence of Arabia, this wind-sculpted valley is stunningly beautiful—the formations looked to us like massive sand castles—and home to several thriving Bedouin tribes.

Because we loved our trip so much, we’ve asked our on-the-ground operator in Jordan to put together two signature itineraries exclusively for our members. Both offer the can’t-miss sights—Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash and the Dead Sea—but each journey is unique, focusing on different aspects of this enthralling country. On both itineraries, you’ll enjoy a private, permanent guide and five-star hotels throughout.
