1. Information Collection: The Personally Identifiable Information We Collect
1.2 When you visit the Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. This information may include, but is not limited to, your computer's Internet Protocol address, operating system, browser type, the web page you were visiting immediately before you came to our Site, and the search query you submitted to find our Site on a search engine. Like many websites, we also use "cookies" to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use "persistent cookies" to save your registration ID and login password for future logins to the Site; and we use "session ID cookies" to enable certain features of the Site, to better understand how you interact with the Site and to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the Site. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Site or all functionality of our services.
1.3 In the course of using the Site and Services, and interacting with third party service providers listed therein, we might receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information. Examples of such information include service providers you transact with, and the nature of those transactions.
2. How We Use Personal Information
2.3 You may, of course, decline to provide MLS with certain personal information, and you may revise or remove any information you have provided at any time during your membership, but then you may not be able to utilize the Site and Services to their fullest potential. (See "Changing or Deleting Information," below.)
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
3.2 Affiliated Business We Do Not Control. We work with a variety of third-party travel service providers to provide you information about their offerings through the Site and Services. We share Personal Information with those providers in order to enhance their ability to provide you the highest level of service.
3.3 Service Providers, Business Partners and Others. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our service, to provide the service on our behalf, to perform Site-related services (including but not limited to maintenance services, database management, web analytics, improvement of the Site's features, and postal and e-mail services, and personal assistance) or to assist us in analyzing how our Site and service are used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only for purposes of performing these tasks on our behalf. We may also provide Personal Information to our business partners or other entities with whom we have cooperative relationships so that they can send you promotional and other information and engage in any of the activities described in Section 2 above.
3.4 Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. MLS cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of MLS or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop any activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical, inappropriate or legally actionable.
3.5 Business Transfers. MLS may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.
4. Changing or Deleting Your Information
4.2 To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you account access or making corrections to your information. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE SECRECY OF YOUR UNIQUE PASSWORD AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION AT ALL TIMES.
5. Our Commitment to Data Security
5.2 If MLS learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive a free written notice of a security breach you should notify us at email@example.com.
6. Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
6.2 As part of our commitment to Children's privacy, we refer the following resources that parents and legal guardians may find useful in monitoring and limiting children's access to certain types of material on the Internet. While MLS does not endorse these products and services, we provide information about them as a public service to our community.
