Tel: (310) 246-5555

Hip restaurant/lounge in the lobby of the SLS hotel. Amazing interiors and art installations, but they seated us late (even with reservations) and service was slow. Go for drinks instead.

Le Pain Quotidien

9630 S. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills
(and many other locations)

Organic café and bakery – great for a quick lunch on the way to the airport. The tartines are excellent. Locations in NY too.

topLounges & Clubs

Green Door

1429 Ivar Avenue, Los Angeles
(323) 463-0008
Tue-Sat 9pm-2am

Richly decorated and exclusive. Attracts a young, hip crowd – college-age kids would feel at home here. Live music. Ask for Rena at the door, and request bottle service.

Nic’s Martini Lounge

453 North Cañon Drive, Beverly Hills
(310) 550-5707
Mon-Wed 4pm-12am, Thu-Sat 4pm-2am

Celebrity hangout, slightly older demographic than Green Door. Friendly, fun, a bit bohemian. Dozens of luxury vodkas can be sampled in their "Vodbox," a showy walk-in cooler (reservations required – the banana-chocolate vodka was delicious). Live music.

The Bazaar

465 S. La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles
Tel: (310) 246-5555

Filled with amazing digital art, the lobby of the SLS hotel is a lounge, emporium, and dining experience all in one. Also known as the Moss gallery.
