Nov-Dec—Abierto Argentino de Polo

The Argentine Polo Finals culminate with one of the most prestigious polo events in the world. The final match is held on the first or second Saturday in December, with qualifying matches played the preceding three weekends. Tickets for the final match are hard to come by—you may have more luck seeing the early rounds. Campo de Polo, Palermo.


Sep—International Festival of Buenos Aires

Every two years, this festival assembles the best in local and international theater.


Mar—Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino

Features performances and shows by internationally known tango dancers and orchestras in the "World Capital of Tango."

May—arteBA

Argentina's most prestigious galleries participate in this annual visual-arts festival.


Fiesta Nacional de la Nieve (National Snow Fiesta)
Bariloche

For 10 days in August, the beautiful ski city of Bariloche (in Argentina's Lake District) celebrates the Fiesta Nacional de la Nieve (National Snow Fiesta) a definite must for lovers of the slopes.

Día de la Tradición (Day of Tradition)
San Antonio de Areco

Make sure you are in San Antonio de Areco on the week of the 10th of November for the Día de la Tradición (Day of Tradition) which is actually a whole week of celebrations and fiesta in honour of Argentina's Gaucho tradition. Expect to see lots of cowboy-esque activities, traditional food and drink, music and dancing all in the heart of Gaucho land, Las Pampas.


The National Folklore Festival of Cosquin
Córdova

Since 1961, every second half of the month of January, Cosquín in the province of Córdova, holds the country's most important folklore festival. The festival sees some of the most popular musicians and dancers of the country in the main square called "Prospero Molina".
