Zion
Utah's first national park, Zion is famous for its towering canyons, hanging gardens, waterfalls and what may be the world’s largest natural arch. "Zion" means a place of peace and refuge – with an abundance of natural wonders and diverse plant and animal life, it’s a hiker’s paradise.

Hikes
Zion offers numerous trails ranging from easy walks to strenuous adventures. A variety of climate zones and habitats make the park ideal for spotting wildflowers, fall colors and birds life. Family-friendly hikes include the Emerald Pools trails, Gateway to the Narrows (also known as Riverside Walk) and the Canyon Overlook.
Bicycling
The 3.5-mile Pa'rus Trail offers a paved, car-free alternative. Shuttle buses are equipped with bike racks.
Fishing and Swimming
Fishing is allowed in the Virgin River (current Utah fishing license required). Swimming is also allowed, but beware of strong currents. Tubing is not permitted.
Horse Rides
Options include a relaxing, 1-hour ride along the Virgin River (for children as young as 7) or a more adventurous ½ day trip along the Sandbench Trail (10-year age limit).
Junior Ranger Explorer Program
Ages 6-12. Activities are centered around Zion National Park and its unique environment.
