Champs-Élysées

Broad and spectacular, the Champs-Elysées is Paris' most famous thoroughfare. Formal gardens, luxury hotels and upscale shops line the avenue, which Parisians use for state funerals and parades celebrating national events.

The famous arch at the end of the Champs-Elysées was built by Napoleon after his greatest victory, the Battle of Austerlitz. Surrounded by a ray of 12 avenues, known as L'Etoile (the star), this grand monument is definitely worth driving around.
